Copper Harbor Fat Tire Festival

The Copper Harbor Fat Tire Festival includes 24 & 14 mile cross country mountain bike races on Sunday at 2 PM over trails in Fort Wilkins Historic State Park and the Copper Harbor area, There is a preview ride on Saturday. The Junior Fat Tire Kid\'s Race is on Sunday at 12:30 PM. Live music, refreshments & good times follow the awards presentation in Grant Township Park on US-41 in Copper Harbor, so plan on spending the night! Delaware Copper Mine Tours

The DELAWARE MINE is an authentic mine that operated from 1847 until 1887, during the country's first major mining boom. The mine was supported by a group of investors, including Horace Greeley. Although the mine didn't make any money for it's investors, it nowserves asthe perfect example of what the mines in this area were like in the 1800's.
